Infinite Jest (V?) by Alex Keller (2008) This piece is a soundtrack to the film Infinite Jest (V?), by James O. Incandeza (YTMP). Sound source: soundtrack to the film Misconception (1977), by Marjorie Keller All sounds manipulated in SoundHack and mixed in Logic Pro. I chose to create a soundtrack to the film Infinite Jest (V?), also known as The Entertainment, due to a personal connection. In 1973, my aunt Marjorie Keller shot a film to be released in 1977 called Misconception, about the birth of my sister. Using the very emotionally weighted sounds of my mother's screams, my sister's first gasps, and my own voice added an urgency and foreboding to the piece that might suit a soundtrack to The Entertainment. My aunt, who died in 1994 at the age of 43, was the person who was able to identify that my interaction with the world was driven by a creative impulse. She was the person who encouraged me to understand and engage the world as an artist. Alex Keller alexkeller.net
